AIMS Innovation brings home the former global Cisco leader, Gunnar Florus, as the new CEO

After many years abroad and several global leadership positions, the former Cisco executive recently landed the job as CEO of the Norwegian artificial intelligence company AIMS Innovation. The ambition is of course to take a significant global position within the rapidly growing market for Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations (AIOps).
"AIOps is not just one of several answers to the challenges faced by today's businesses, as regards the day-to-day operation of the IT infrastructure. AIOps is the only answer. Neither more IT employees nor even more manual processes will be able to predict and solve the ever-increasing volume of challenges before it directly affects the company's operations and finances"
AIMS Innovation AS, which is a significant player in the development of advanced artificial intelligence systems for the monitoring, operation, and operation of IT systems, has hired Gunnar Florus as the company's new managing director.
AIMS Innovation has developed an advanced technology, referred by Gartner as AIOps, which combines big data analytics and machine learning to automate IT operations. This includes, among other things, correlation of events, detection of anomalies, and analysis of causal determinations.
The global market for AIOps estimated to grow by 25 times in 10 years
In line with the current development of IT systems, which largely consist of local and cloud-based systems, where both topology and systems are changing at an ever-increasing extent and speed, the IT systems represent a complexity that no manual processes can handle. Therefore, Gartner also believes that AIOps is the only viable path into the future. And the global market for AIOps is estimated to grow from just over $26 billion in 2020 to a whopping $645 billion by 2030.
“We are extremely happy to have Gunnar Florus on the AIMS team. In all modesty, I of course believe that all companies in the world that are concerned with operating a stable, accessible, and secure infrastructure should adopt our AIOps solution. And with Gunnar's extensive experience from the global technology arena, I am very confident that we will become a major global player to be reckoned with”, - says Chief Operating Officer and founder of AIMS Innovation AS, Ivar Sagemo.
Lack of automation will be costly
Many of today's IT managers struggle with a bad night's sleep. The reasons are many, but one of them concerns how extremely time-consuming and complicated it has become to operate the infrastructure, and how significant the consequences are if something goes wrong. The lack of automation often leads to IT departments spending an unnecessary amount of time on manual tasks, which can often lead to vulnerabilities, security gaps, and downtime. Consequences that all contribute to lost efficiency, productivity, profitability, and not least, reputation and trust.
“AIOps is not just one of several answers to the challenges faced by today's businesses, as regards the day-to-day operation of the IT infrastructure. AIOps is the only answer. Neither more IT employees nor even more manual processes will be able to predict and solve the ever-increasing volume of challenges before it directly affects the company's operations and finances. After over 20 years with a global focus on international technology companies, and over a hundred travel days each year, I am very much looking forward to being part of an ever so small global adventure with a technology company from Norway”, - Gunnar Florus happily admits.
